Trip to Wales

Our trip to started on the 20th September. We drove through Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. We slept one night on the coach. When we woke up we were in France and we were going to Calais. There we crossed the English Channel to Dover by ferry. When we came to a small town of Rhyl, we met our "family" for the first time. Every day went to school. The school was 20 minutes from our "meeting point". At school we had three groups and each of the groups had one teacher. At school we had 3 lessons every day.

Every day after school we visited a lot of interesting places. We visited for example: town with the longest name of the world, many castles, and a sea aquarium in Rhyl. We had three all day trips. One of them was to Chester. There was a shopping day because we had there many free times for shops. The second all day trip was to Liverpool. There we visited The Beatles Story and Liverpool stadium. The third trip was to the national park Snowdonia, where we visited the largest mountain in Wales Mount Snowdon. Before we came back to Prague we had stopped in London. We were there for one night. We visited many famous places.

It was a nice trip. I have really enjoyed it and I hope the others enjoyed it as much as I did.

This year our eighth and one of the seventh grades went to Great Britain. Specifically to North Wales. We went there through Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. We overcame canal La Mache on a ferry and got out in Dover. On our way to Wales we stopped in the city of Oxford and visited their university.

We stayed in a smaller town called Rhyl in host families. We stayed there for 10 days. We also went to school. The school was in another town called Colwyn Bay. The company was called CLT and they rent a few rooms in a big villa. We were at school for four days. Every day our after school activity was visiting castles and important cities and places. One of the castles, that felt the most interesting for us particularly, was Caernarfon. The Princes of Wales were crown there. But the most interesting visits took place on weekend. First we went to Chester where we had a shopping day. We must say that it wasn’t that interesting for us but at least we bought some presents. The other day was more interesting. We went to Liverpool. We visited The Beatles museum and then we headed to the football stadium. We don’t really watch football, so we didn’t quite understand the passion that some people felt.

After the weekend we got one more day in Wales. We went to a national park called Snowdonia. We left the other day early in the morning and headed to London. We arrived there in the evening and stayed in hotel Ibis for one night. In the morning we had our breakfast and headed to the centre of London. We visited some sights and had lunch. It was evening before we even realized it. We got on bus and headed back to the Czech Republic, the same way we came.

„ Today we went to school. We were in three groups and we had three teachers. My favourite teacher is Nick because he is funny.“

„ We had a tour round Barnstaple with our guide Tom who said „OJE, OJE, OJE! After  that we went to the Museum and we wrote the museum quiz.“

Then we moved into the ruins of Tintagel castle. We had a small picnic. Then we went to Merlin’s cave that is under water when it’s high tide. We were throwing stones into the water and we had fun.“

„Free day with our family. We got up late. After lunch we went to the beach where we met our schoolmates.“

„Tomorrow when wie will be in Exeter we will have to ask people questions! Our topic is SUPERHERO! We have five questions.“

Nuestro viaje a España

Trip to Denmark

Our trip to Denmark started on Sunday the 3rd of May when we got on a bus in Prague. We travelled through Germany and we arrived to Denmark in the late evening. Our host families took us to their houses and we had dinner there. The next day the Danish students showed us their school and the town, Ringe. In the afternoon we went on a trip to the sea. On Tuesday we visited a town called Odense where we went to a museum and we saw and interesting exhibition about Danish fashion and also and exhibition about selfies. After the museum we took a boat to the forest, we had ice cream there and then we walked back to the town where we went shopping. On Wednesday we went to Legoland which was really fun! On our last day in Denmark we went on a bicycle trip to Egeskov castle. And in the evening we had a goodbye party with the families at the school and in a jumping centre. We left on Friday morning. We had a great time with our friends in Denmark and we're looking forward to next year!

Výlet do Rakouska

We picked them up and took them to our houses. The next morning we took a tram to a rope climbing centre and in the afternoon we went to a bowling centre where we had lots of fun. On Thursday we took our danish friends on a tour around Prague with a guide and we visited a wax museum and a museum of torture. On the last day of this trip we visited the concentration camp in Terezín and we spent the afternoon with our danish friends and our families. They left on Saturday morning. We really enjoyed our time together and we're looking forward to going to Denmark!
